James is a specialist in strategic planning, leadership and personnel development, and change management. He is a recently retired Army Major General with 34 years of executive experience in operational appointments for both the British Army and NATO.
He was a strategic analyst in the Cabinet Office; a Procurement Project Manager
in the MOD; a strategic security adviser in the Balkans and a specialist security
adviser to the Police. He planned and delivered NATO’s first joint operational
training establishment.
He has run multi-million pound budgets within the MOD and been responsible for
delivering resource accounting and budgeting management planning. He worked closely
as the key link with British Defence Industry during the first Gulf War delivering
urgent operational requirements.
He helps develop organizational structures to improve output. He provides a
distinctive analysis on how to motivate small teams through a focus on innovation,
inspiration and motivation. He brings a unique outlook on the planning for and
delivery of decisive objectives.
