Measure your company against these criteria: -
Do your managers have a crystal clear view of where the company is going and
what it needs to do to get there?
Does each manager know what they personally need to deliver to underwrite the
company’s success?
Does each manager know the difference between important and urgent?
Do managers have the skills tools and resources to deliver their goals?
Do you have systems and Key Performance Indicators that enable you and your managers
to measure success?
Are managers who can, or should, do better told about it – and do they get training,
coaching and direction to improve?
As an MD or business owner are you good at delegation?
Do you provide enough information and feedback to enable your managers to do
their job?
Can managers and staff feed back valid points and concerns to you – and get a
fair hearing?
Do you provide an environment where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged
– but goals still met?
Do you publicly reward success, achievement and dedication?
